    Yabancı bir sitede -Jared Leto Online- Mr. Nobody'nin İstanbul Film Festivlinde çıkacağını okudum,ama !f'in sitesinde bilgi bulamadım.Ne saçma iştir? Haber de Hürriyet'in yabancı sitesinden,valla bilemedim ne kadar doğru.

    Haberde böyle diyor ;

    The Akbank Gala films have always been one of the most popular categories at the International Istanbul Film Festival, and this year is no exception. With many tickets sold out, new screenings have been announced. Act quickly to enjoy the return of indie masters, some debut gems and true celebrations of cinema at its most eccentric
    In 'Mr. Nobody,' it’s the year 2092 and Jared Leto plays Nemo Nobody, a 117-year-old man on his deathbed.

    It has become almost a tradition not to be able to find tickets to the movies in the Akbank Gala category at the International Istanbul Film Festival, and to just wait until the extra screenings are announced.

    For those following this strategy, the good news is just in: Extra show times have been announced for the hit films from around the world in the Akbank Gala category. Here is a look at the audience favorites and award winners in the section.

    Renowned fashion designer and friend of A-list celebrities Tom Ford shows that his craft extends to areas beyond fashion in his directorial debut, “A Single Man,” which Ford adapted from the 1964 Christopher Isherwood novel of the same name. In an Oscar-nominated performance, Colin Firth plays George Falconer, a gay British professor living in Los Angeles in the early 1960s. As George contemplates suicide following the death of his partner of 16 years, he connects with friends and acquaintances. Julianne Moore plays George’s free-spirited best friend, Charley. The costumes in the film were not designed by Ford, but by the team that created the clothes for the TV series “Mad Men,” set in the same era.

    Turkish-German actress Sibel Kekilli stars in Austrian actress Feo Aladağ’s directorial debut, “Die Fremde” (When We Leave). Kekilli plays Umay, a woman who flees from her marriage, taking her son with her from Istanbul to her family in Berlin, hoping to start a new life. She finds out the hard way that the social pressures on a married woman are not so much different for a Turkish woman in Berlin. The film, also starring Settar Tanrıöğem and Derya Alabora, was screened in the Panorama category at the recent Berlin Film Festival.

    Film buffs will remember director Noah Baumbach from his indie gems “The Squid and the Whale,” “Margot at the Wedding” and “Fantastic Mr. Fox,” an Oscar-nominated favorite shown at the recent !f Istanbul International Independent Film Festival. In his latest movie, “Greenberg,” Baumbach gives us another unforgettable set of dysfunctional American siblings. Ben Stiller plays Roger Greenberg, a washed-up grunge rocker from New York who ends up in Los Angeles to housesit for his brother. He instantly hits it off with his brother’s assistant, Florence (Greta Gerwig). The film was written by Baumbach and his wife, actress Jennifer Jason Leigh.

    Return of the American indie kings

    Belgian director Jaco Van Dormael once again flaunts his talent for portraying complex characters. In “Mr. Nobody,” it’s the year 2092 and Jared Leto plays Nemo Nobody, a 117-year-old man on his deathbed. He recalls his life, and how it would have been different if he had made three different marriages in three different alternate existences. The big bang theory, superstring theory and many other concepts of quantum physics shape the plot. Diane Kruger and Sarah Polley also star in the film, which won awards at the Venice, Stockholm and Sitges film festivals.

    The king of indie films, American director Jim Jarmusch, returns with a bizarre crime drama, “The Limits of Control.” Isaach De Bankole stars as the Lone Man, who has just arrived in Spain on a mysterious mission. He receives instructions through cryptic philosophical messages such as “Everything is subjective.” He finds himself on a treasure hunt where each message setting up his next step arrives in a matchbox that he needs to destroy. Then there’s the nude woman he encounters wherever he goes. The film is filled with references to various filmmakers, from Alfred Hitchcock and Orson Welles to Jean-Luc Godard, and a stellar cast that includes Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Gael Garcia Bernal, Hiam Abbass and John Hurt.

    Richard Linklater, the American director who began his career as the spokesman for Generation X with his “Slacker” in the 1990s, and who recently gave us films as distinct as “A Scanner Darkly” and “Fast Food Nation,” takes viewers to the 1930s New York theater scene in “Me and Orson Welles.” The film is about Richard, a teenager hired with an impromptu audition to play Lucius in “Julius Caesar,” Broadway’s first Shakespeare production at the Mercury Theater. As the group is exposed to the eccentric antics of director Orson Welles, Richard finds himself in a relationship with an ambitious production assistant named Sonja. Teen heartthrob Zac Efron plays Richard, Claire Danes stars as Sonja and Christian McKay plays the legendary director.

    One of the high-profile guests of the festival, Todd Solondz, calls his latest movie, “Life During Wartime,” a companion piece to his cult dark comedies on American suburbia, “Happiness” and “Welcome to the Dollhouse.” Another black comedy about sexual obsession, the film features an assortment of flawed characters and their bizarre takes on love, sex and everything in between. The characters include a woman trying to find new love after having been married to a pedophile, the ex-husband himself, the angelic sister obsessed with past lovers, another sister trying to deal with fame in Hollywood and a bitter mother.
